The short version
- Child sexual abuse material and any sexualization of minors: zero tolerance. We remove it, preserve it as the law requires, report it to NCMEC and close the account.
- No intimate images shared without consent (including deepfakes), extreme violence or terrorism, hate, harassment, doxxing, illegal goods, malware, phishing, spam or fraud.
- Upload only work you own or have permission to use. Copyright complaints use our DMCA process.
- Boudoir and other consenting adult work is allowed only in private galleries marked Sensitive, never on public pages.
- Anyone can report content with the Report link, no account needed. We never tell the account owner who reported.
This summary helps you find your way. The full policy below is what applies.
Who this policy covers
This policy applies to everyone who uses Glowsake: the studios (photographers, photo booths, DJs, videographers, planners, venues and other businesses) who create galleries and pages, and the clients and guests who open them.
It covers everything published or shared through Semuko and Glowsake: client galleries and photos, portfolios, studio sites on glowsake.com, stories, vendor packs, booth reports, glsk.to short links and QR codes, the Glowsake app, comments and messages.
Studios are responsible for what they upload and publish. This policy is part of the Semuko Terms of Service (including its acceptable use rules) and the Glowsake Terms of Use.
Child safety: zero tolerance
Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and any sexualization of minors are never allowed. This includes real, edited, drawn or AI-generated images or videos, captions or poses that sexualize anyone under 18, and any attempt to groom, sexually solicit or traffic a child.
When we become aware of apparent child sexual abuse material, we:
- remove it from every page, the app and our image servers at once,
- preserve it securely, as United States law requires, without anyone at Semuko viewing it,
- report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) through its CyberTipline, which works with law enforcement, and
- close the account. These decisions are not reversed through an appeal in the app.
Ordinary family and event photography with children (a newborn session, a birthday, a team photo) is welcome. Galleries with children must stay private to the family, and a gallery marked Sensitive must never include anyone under 18.
Other content that is not allowed
- Intimate images shared without consent. Nude, sexual or intimate images of a real person shared without their consent, hidden-camera images, threats to share such images, and fake or AI-generated ("deepfake") intimate images of a real, identifiable person.
- Extreme violence, gore and terrorism. Graphic violence or gore shared to shock, content that glorifies or encourages serious violence, and support for terrorist or violent extremist groups.
- Hate and harassment. Attacks on people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or other protected characteristics; threats, bullying and targeted harassment.
- Private information (doxxing). Sharing someone’s home address, government ID, financial details, private phone number or similar information without their consent, or to harass them.
- Illegal goods and services. Selling, arranging or promoting anything that is illegal where you or your clients are.
- Malware and phishing. Links or files that install harmful software, steal passwords or payment details, or pretend to be someone else to trick people.
- Infringing someone else’s rights. Uploading photos, music, logos or other work you do not own or have permission to use. See Copyright and trademarks.
- Spam and fraud. Fake galleries or studios, impersonation, misleading offers, unsolicited bulk messages, and anything designed to deceive clients.
Allowed with care: boudoir and other sensitive work
Boudoir, implied nudity and other intimate work made with consenting adults is allowed, with these rules:
- Put it only in galleries marked Sensitive. Sensitive galleries are private: they ask for a password by default, open on a privacy screen and keep titles and photos out of emails, link previews and search engines.
- Never use it in public places: portfolios, studio sites, stories, vendor packs, social posts, slideshows with share links or marketing.
- Everyone shown must be 18 or older and must have agreed to the photographs and to how they are shared. Keep your model releases and consent records.
- Remove a photo when the person in it asks you to, unless the law requires you to keep it.
If you are not sure whether a gallery should be marked Sensitive, mark it.
Copyright and trademarks
Upload only work you created or have permission to use. If you believe something on Glowsake infringes your copyright, the fastest route is a DMCA notice to our designated agent, described in section 13 of the Semuko Terms. For trademark concerns, use the Report link or email helpme@semuko.com. We remove infringing content and close the accounts of repeat infringers.
What we do when something breaks this policy
People at Semuko review reports. Depending on how serious the problem is, the context and the account’s history, we may:
- Remove or hide content. A photo or gallery is hidden from clients and public pages while we review it, or removed.
- Restrict the account. For example, pause publishing or sharing features.
- Suspend the account immediately. Every client gallery, page and link goes offline at once.
- Report to law enforcement. We report child sexual exploitation to NCMEC as the law requires, and we contact law enforcement when someone’s life or safety is at risk or when the law requires it.
We can skip straight to a later step for serious harm. Hiding content for review does not mean we have decided the studio did something wrong.
How to report content
Use the Report link on any gallery, photo viewer, portfolio, studio site, story, vendor pack, booth report or glsk.to page, or in the Glowsake app. You do not need an account. You can also email helpme@semuko.com with the link.
- Please do not send us the content itself. A link and a short description are enough.
- We never tell the account owner who reported them.
- We review every report but, to protect everyone involved, we do not share what happened with a specific report.
- If someone is in immediate danger, call 911 or your local emergency number. You can also report child sexual exploitation directly to NCMEC at report.cybertip.org or 1-800-843-5678.
If you are the person shown in an intimate image shared without your consent (or you act for them), use the Report link and choose "Intimate imagery shared without consent", or email helpme@semuko.com with the subject "Removal request", the link, and a statement that the image was shared without consent. We act on these requests quickly, and within 48 hours of a valid request.
Appeals for studios
If we hide a photo or gallery, you will see "Hidden by Semuko pending review" on the gallery in Semuko with an Appeal button, and we will email the account owner. Nothing is deleted while we review. Tell us why you think the decision is wrong and we will review it again and email you the result.
Decisions about child sexual exploitation are not reviewed through in-app appeals. Write to helpme@semuko.com if you believe we made a mistake.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the law and our services change. We post the new version here with a new effective date, and tell studios about important changes.
